Tommy Smyth came closer than his beloved Manchester United to laying claim to the European Cup. The ESPN soccer commentator and former New York City St. Patrick's Day Grand Marshal got a hand on the trophy before United lost the recent European Champions final to Barcelona at Wembley Stadium in London. Tommy's wife Treasa also got a hand on the cup, but Barca's brilliant feet eventually exerted the stronger pull.
