Hibernians remember 9/11 and Great Hunger victims

As part of their recent salute to 175 years of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America, AOH members conducted two wreath-laying ceremonies in Manhattan, one at Ground Zero and what is now the site of the new World Trade Center, the other at the nearby Battry Park City memorial to the victims of Ireland's Great Hunger. Members are seen in these photos marching to the world Trade Center ceremony and at the Gorta Mór memorial which depicts a scene in the West of Ireland during the Famine. Higginsphotonyc.com.
