St. Patrick's Day Memories: Lisa Kelly

Going to the St Patrick's Day parade with my parents. While it was nothing along the lines of the NYC parade, it was so much fun. I always wanted to be part of it. Have you ever marched in the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade? No, I've never been lucky enough to walk in any parade. Five essential Irish albums that should be part of everyone's music library: Memory Lane by The High Kings; The Joshua Tree by U2; A Woman's Heart; I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got, by Sinead O'Connor; And of course, all Celtic Woman albums! How much green do you wear on March 17th? Maybe a green t-shirt! Do you eat corned beef & cabbage on St. Patrick's Day? How about soda bread? No, I have never had corned beef in my life! Cabbage is kind of an every day vegetable at home, so it wouldn't be specific to St. Patrick's Day in our house. Soda bread also is an every day food for our family. Favorite Irish film? "The Snapper" by Roddy Doyle. Great insight into the real Dublin of the late 80's early 90's. I also love "In Bruges" by Martin McDonough. Favorite Irish book? "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt. Favorite Irish song? Oh so many of them, but at the moment "My Lagan Love." Complete this sentence: The most Irish thing about me is . . . my very strong Dublin accent and my love for the city of Dublin.
