Bronx born and raised, James "Barney" Ferguson Jr. is an 18-year veteran of the Criminal Justice System. He currently serves as Commissioner on the Parole Board. He previously served as an Administrative Law Judge and an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx Major Case Task Force and the Narcotics Bureaus, conducting wiretap, gang, homicide, gun and drug investigations. He conducts legal training for attorneys and is a Criminal Justice Adjunct Professor. Currently, he teaches Jump Start and a Summer Law Program for inner-city teenagers. Education: Law Degree and International Law Certificate are from Pace University and London University ; Marist College -B.A. in Political Science/ Psychology. Award/Memberships: N.Y.P.D.
