With Canada in Sight

Pic of Day: The rededicated Fenian Memorial in Buffalo, New York was well-visited during the gathering in the city for the Heroes of Irish America Awards on Friday, April 26. The memorial commemorates the 1866 Fenian invasion of Canada, which can be seen in the background cross the water. The Stars and Stripes, Irish Tricolor and Canadian Maple Leaf flag now fly in harmony at the monument site. Full photo coverage of the Heroes Awards in this week's print and digital edition of the Echo.
