Is everyday civility going the way of the dinosaurs?
Does anyone know what the word courtesy even means? Out in public, people have no regards for others with the language they use. No decorum.

Unfortunately, for many of the younger generation, it's considered cool to be rude. Let's not forget that common courtesy, politeness and good manners are tools that help us communicate with each other and open many doors. It's hip to be square!

Even the simplest terms - please, excuse me, thank you have all but disappeared.
Respect for the elderly on public transporation is gone.
The language of some of the people belongs in the garbage.
This is for 'starters'.

Absolutely, we have become a nation of thugs when a junior legislator calls our President a liar while he is speaking in the House of Representatives and to the nation. Mr. Wilson is clearly a bi-product of hate and its getting worse. Its not the person he was attacking its the office of the President he disrespected. Then we have the Media giving these hate mongers the pulpit to spew their hate even more. The whole situation is getting out of hand. I do agree with President Carter, it?s all about Mr. Obama being black. As of late I'm truly ashamed to be an Anglo American.

Common courtesies are going by the wayside. No more please and thank you or gentlemen holding a door for the ladies or paying for a dinner. A lot of this stems for the way parents teach their kids. I do what my parents taught and the next generation does the same. Kindness comes from honey and not vinegar.
