St. Patrick’s Day Memories: Seamus Boyle

Marching with my father in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the 1950’s shortly after arriving in the U. S.
Have you ever marched in the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade? If so, what group did you march with? Yes in the 1960 or 1961 parade, but cannot remember what the name of the group was.
Five essential Irish albums that should be part of everyone’s music library: I would highly recommend albums by The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, The Wolfe Tones, Phil Coulter, Johnny McEvoy, and Paddy Reilly.
How much green do you wear on March 17th?
I usually get shamrocks from relatives in Ireland but other than that very little green.
Do you eat corned beef & cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day? How about soda bread? If it is served at a party I attend, I will eat it. I love corned beef and eat cabbage quite often during the year with ham or other meats at dinner. Soda bread is my downfall and my family does bake the soda bread all year long, not just in March.
